Hey there!
Live music is an incredible experience and although it's nowhere near the same, watching live performances on your computer can actually be very satisfying and enjoyable. Here are two examples of brilliant websites:
From The Basement.
From The Basement is created by Nigel Godrich who is best known for his work with Radiohead. These performances have no host and no audience - it's just about the band and nothing else. Acts here include Autolux, Beck, Cold War Kids, Sonic Youth, Queens Of The Stone Age, The White Stripes, Radiohead and Fleet Foxes.
La Blogotheque.
As the name suggests, La Blogotheque is French - it's more indie orientated and not as perfect as the From The Basement-sessions. Among loads of others, here you'll find Grizzly Bear, I'm From Barcelona, Guillemots, The National, Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, Of Montreal, Dirty Projectors, Liars, Beirut, St. Vincent, Caribou, Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective, Handsome Furs, Bon Iver, (drunk?) dEUS, Sebastian Tellier, Efterklang, Sigur Ros, Phoenix, Múm......... Okay, a lot.
