Canadian indie rockers The Dears released Gang Of Losers in 2006. It charted pretty low, peaking at number 52 in Canada and at number 77 in the UK. The reviews were relatively brilliant, though, it just didn't get the attention it deserved. Because the truth is that Gang Of Losers is a blasts as far as what comes to melancholic, melodic, grandiose indie rock. The melodies here are good and occasionally almost incredible - the opening 5 tunes is one of the strongest opening fives I've heard on an indie rock album. Murray Lightburns fantastic voice carries you through the whole thing as intelligent, dynamic guitar parts and swirly arrangements make for a multi-layered experience. Highly recommended. Oh, tunes:
Hate Then Love.

Death Or Life Or We Want You.

Ticket To Immortality.

Cheers!
